The Sterling Review is an independent publication whose editors research and compare hotels and venues offering casino facilities throughout the United Kingdom. The role taken here is journalistic only: we hold no gaming licence, we act as no one’s travel agency, and no card or bank transaction passes through this title.
Two kinds of information reach us. The first is whatever you type into a contact or enquiry form: your name, e-mail address, intended travel dates, party size and free-text notes. The second is technical and automatic — IP address, browser type and the pages opened — logged by our server and analytics tools.
Details entered on a form are processed for a single reason: to answer the question put to us and to supply the planning material requested. Technical records support site security and guide editorial improvement. Under no circumstances does this publication sell personal information to advertisers, brokers or anyone else.
Essential cookies may be stored on your device, and analytics cookies belonging to third parties may be stored alongside them. Browser settings allow either kind to be blocked or cleared at your discretion. Blocking them does not restrict access — the reviews and comparison tables continue to display in full.
A submission stays on file only while the enquiry it belongs to is being handled, and no longer. Readers are entitled to see the personal data recorded about them, to have inaccuracies put right, and to have the record deleted. Requests should be addressed to [email protected] in writing.
Readership is restricted to those aged 18 or above. The publication is not directed at children, and no information is knowingly gathered from minors. Should such data nevertheless arrive, it is removed from our systems as soon as the position becomes apparent, and the enquiry is closed.
